Shallow is a now-defunct shoegaze band from Kansas City. They were active from the late 90's until early 2000. They were amazing and completely in the vein of the shoegaze that I know and love.

According to their myspace (http://www.myspace.com/shallowcommand) fans of My Bloody Valentine, Jesus and Mary Chain, and The Sundays would enjoy this. But I think this beauty is in a genre all it's own.

This is the debut album by the new band Jaguar Love, consisting of Johnny Whitney, formerly of Blood Brothers (R.I.P.) It sounds awesome; keys tracks are "Highways of Gold" and "Georgia". Definitely for fans of Johnny's other projects like Soiled Doves and Neon Blonde; more melodic, though.

This is one of the best albums from 2008. Beautiful word-less, instrumental bliss. I would reccomend this to fans of Explosions In the Sky and The Album Leaf.
